Open RFP Questions and Clarifications

The form closely resembles other applications. If our company was selected as a fund under a similar effort, would it be possible to show our documentation/licenses in lieu of filling out the forms again?

No. All companies interested in participating in this initiative must fill out the form completely, regardless of previous successes or selections.

Regarding Section 9: are you just looking to understand our corporate security posture, or is there a specific level of information sensitivity you are contemplating giving VCs custody of that you want to see you accredited for?

For now, we want to understand your general corporate security posture.

For firms that operate multiple funds simultaneously — as many do — you are looking for fund level information in all sections except section 1?

It is mostly fund level information that is requested, although there are fields to fill in throughout which are looking for firm level information. If you would answer any particular question differently depending on entire firm versus just the fund, provide detail as to why it’s different for the fund you intend to use compared to your normal internal practices.

Example: Section 4, Question 7: “What rituals or practices do you use to align capital with mission?” If you would answer this differently when discussing the fund versus your firm, explain why it is different between the two in your answer.

The RFP questionnaire is asking for sensitive and proprietary information that we rarely share. Where will all this information reside once submitted to the northstarcampus.org domain? What are the security controls on the data, and who will have access to it?

Everything is password protected and treated as confidential. The only people who will have access to the information you submit are the people working for UMLARC and ARL.
